Symptoms exist for a reason. They are the language your body speaks; calling you to pay attention and listen.

Work with me

An initial homeopathic consultations is 90-120 minutes long. This gives us time to look at all the factors influencing your health.

I will always ask first what is up front and centre in your life at the moment. What is happening in your body/mind/heart that you need support with? What are your main symptoms? I will take the time to ask about each symptom: physically, mentally, emotionally. How are these symptoms affecting you? How long have you had them? What was happening in your life when these symptoms first began?

From the current symptom picture, we take the focus out wider to look at the “totality” of your life journey; your past history of illness, major events, past medical interventions, injuries, pharmaceuticals given and family health history; including your parents, your siblings, your children if you have them, aunts and uncles, Grandparents etc.

I’ll ask about what weather you like and what temperature and climates you prefer? do you have any food cravings? How is your sleep quality? Are you a predominantly hot or cold person? What are your symptoms better or worse from? What are your favourite things to do? What is your perfect day?

This detailed case taking is to get as much information as we can to determine what remedy or remedies you need at this time. I’m looking to find what is it that makes you and your symptom picture unique.

The Importance of the ‘Follow-Up’ Appointment

After the initial consultation I will want to see you about 4 to 6 weeks later for a follow up, so we can find out how your body is responding to the remedy/ies. We want to find out how your body is going - What has shifted or changed? What has improved? Have you noticed anything becoming better or worse? Do we need to adjust dosing or perhaps a change of direction is needed? Without this follow up consultation, we can’t gauge the effect the remedy is having.

It’s really important to remember that healing is a journey. Sounds cliche, but it’s true. The path of healing is ultimately an inner journey. For the last 200 years or so, western culture has cultivated a mindset of “don’t listen to your body, ask the experts!” and “take this drug!” for relief. Homeopathy turns this around. We WANT to listen to what the body has to say.

Long term, chronic health conditions, ALWAYS have their origins within the emotional body, often stored there since early childhood or inherited tendencies from our parents and grandparents. My work focuses on exploring these places to assist people with the remedies, as well as observing what reveals itself after taking the remedies: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, as the pathology is lifted to the surface and released.

Life is continually challenging us, especially in the times we are moving through. Homeopathic medicine is an invaluable tool we can use to “quicken” and support us along the way. It is not a “one and done”. It is a day by day movement toward harmony; the ability to enjoy our life, in our bodies, here on the earth.

We also need to cultivate patience while the body begins to heal. Sometimes healing takes time. As long as we can see the body is moving in the “direction of cure” - meaning healing occurs in the reverse order to how we developed our symptoms - we know we are moving in the right direction. The direction is not always a straight line, yet ultimately we are moving in an upward trending direction.

The Homeopathic remedy by itself cannot do everything. We need to look at our diet, our lifestyle choices, our life situation. However, as we work with the remedies, old habits and patterns will more readily come into conscious awareness, giving us greater ability to learn and embody the deeper lessons. In my experience, I have found the remedies help us learn to trust the wisdom of the body; the gradual yet necessary removal of layers, toward the fullest expression of vitality and strength; to enable the embodiment of what our Spirit came here to accomplish.

Homeopathy gives us the opportunity to reflect.

If we feel stuck in a particular pattern of recurring symptoms, homeopathy offers a change perspective.

We can move out of the old grooves and choose a new course.
